Our Future:

The children are our future.  Has there been any thought and consideration for them?

Children have been in the past few decades or so (perhaps even longer) and now at our present time having their innocence being used to express adult opinions, wants and needs.

An underlying motive that could not be expressed with reason with an adult, so a child’s innocence was and is being abused to have their agendas accepted. Shameful, Selfish actions on the behalf of “adults”.

Our future is being led to the confusion of reality. Yes, because we have confused them while they were “growing up”.

Children are not supposed to endure certain “situations” or “topics” as they are full of innocence.

Their innocence is being violated from too much exposure to “situations” or “topics” that there is no need for them to be exposed to.

There are certain situations that a child should be exposed to and some situations that a child should not be exposed to. This is just some basic common sense. Correct?

Cognitive development means the growth of a child’s ability to think and reason. This growth happens differently from ages 6 to 12, and from ages 12 to 18.

Children ages 6 to 12 years old develop the ability to think in concrete ways. These are called concrete operations. These things are called concrete because they’re done around objects and events. This includes knowing how to:

Combine (add)

Separate (subtract or divide)

Order (alphabetize and sort)

Transform objects and actions (change things, such as 5 pennies = 1 nickel)

Ages 12 to 18 years old is called adolescence. Kids and teens in this age group do more complex thinking. This type of thinking is also known as formal logical operations. This includes the ability to:

Do abstract thinking. This means thinking about possibilities.

Reason from known principles. This means forming own new ideas or questions.

Consider many points of view. This means to compare or debate ideas or opinions.

Think about the process of thinking. This means being aware of the act of thought processes.

When additional factors are added to the “growing up” phases of a child’s life, enough is already on their plate (remember we were all here at one time). We can not continue to allow them to be exposed to “situations” that they would not comprehend, nor should they have too.

It appears that “We The People” can not comprehend or find a balanced resolution while debating about some or many “situations” or “topics” as adults.  You’re expecting children too?

Do we not have as parents to have informed consent when it relates to our children?  Public schools are funded with taxpayer dollars. Parents have placed their trust in the educators to allow them to care for their children while in the schools. Children are taught other behaviors, values or practice of religions at home with their families.

Writing, Reading and Arithmetic are what is to be taught in schools to children. While they develop their social skills interacting with other children, along with the interaction with the “adults” that are employed within the district they attend school. Not adult agendas.

Children do not have the ability to speak up for themselves, but their parents do. Parents have the right to speak up especially when it comes to their child’s health, education and well being.
